Orders, Pricing & Production
All John Leighton furniture is handcrafted to order using premium natural materials.
Orders are accepted through our official website and are subject to availability and acceptance by John Leighton. We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order where necessary, including where pricing errors, product availability or suspected fraudulent activity occurs.
All prices are displayed in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST where applicable unless otherwise stated.
As every piece is made to order, estimated production time is generally 6–8 months, however this may vary depending on material availability, production scheduling, customisation requirements and other factors beyond our reasonable control.
Production time is separate from shipping and delivery time. Estimated timeframes are provided in good faith but should not be considered guaranteed delivery dates.
Freight charges are calculated separately based on delivery location, product size, handling requirements and access conditions. A personalised freight quotation will be provided prior to dispatch.
Product Information
We make every effort to ensure product descriptions, dimensions, specifications, colours and imagery accurately represent our furniture.
As our products are handcrafted from genuine natural materials, variations in colour, grain, veining, texture, density, natural markings and overall appearance are expected and form part of the character of each individual piece. These natural variations are not considered faults or manufacturing defects.
Measurements shown on our website are approximate and minor variations may occur due to the handcrafted nature of our products.
Australian Consumer Law
Nothing contained within these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Customers are entitled to the remedies available under the ACL where applicable.
Risk & Ownership
Ownership of the furniture transfers to the purchaser once full payment has been received.
Risk in the goods transfers upon successful delivery to the nominated delivery address.
Customers are responsible for inspecting their furniture upon delivery and notifying John Leighton of any transit damage within 48 hours, together with photographs and supporting information.
